2010 Chev Suburban check engine light stays on and remotes won't work

Asked by MimisCar Aug 02, 2016 at 09:11 AM about the 2010 Chevrolet Suburban

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have the oil changed recently and the oil life reset to 100%. However, since then, the check engine lights stays on. We've tightened the gas cap, pulled the battery, and the light went off. However, as soon as we tried to reprogram both key remotes, the light comes back on. Can anyone shed light on how to correct this situation?

Have it read for codes, even if the check engine light is NOT on the computer will have stored information and codes. Discount auto stores will read codes for no fee. write them down.
