Plastic skid Shields normally are nuts differing from sizes 8- 12mm and the drain plug is 14-17 depending on your vehicle

If you can not get your hand around it and it is in a location that only an oil filter socket will fit. Go to the local autoparts store and verify which filter and socket combo you need for your truck. GLWR
