How do you reset the engine oil change message for a 2010 Ford Escape/ Why don't they put this in the owner's manual?

I have an 08 Ford Escape Hybrid and it does indicate how to reset the engine oil life message.

in fuse box,their is a red push button push in for 3 to 5 seconds,light will flash a couple times and go out.

I have the same problem with a 2009 ford escape hybrid with navigation. I could not find a "red button" in the fuse box, or the "reset" prompts per manual (which appears to be written for non-nav dash controls).

U kno how U got the setup info and reset buttons cycle through the menu till you get to oil life then press reset on the oil life icon the hold reset for a few seconds..

we cannot get the oil light to reset nor to reset the clock -- any ideas.. the reset button directions in the manuel do not do it.. they used to, but something is 'broken' inside somewhere.. any ideas?? 2009 ford escape

RE: change oil light reset 2010 ford escape The answer is in your owners manual. You actually have to open the manual, & read it, to see it. It's in my 2010 Ford Escape owner's manual. Don't know why it wouldn't be in yours.
