2010 ford escape brakes go spongey

last 2 months my ford escape 2010 brakes went low and spongy...mechanic
said he adjusted them.....again 6 wks later brakes go low and spongy.

I would suspect that there is still air in the brake lines. Also a leak and low fluid can cause this
