What went wrong with my 2010 pontiac g6

My gas light came on and then my car died. I know
it's not out of gas. But I still put a $1.50 in a gas
can an put it back in the car and it still won't start
what is wrong with it.

Go rent a fuel pump pressure tests at auto store and test pressure. Your fuel pump may have gone out.
