Transmission crack

Asked by Gened May 10, 2008 at 03:34 PM about the 1997 Honda Accord

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Sons hit a rock and has a crack in the housing of the bottom of the transmission housing. The car still runs fine and there is no leak coming out. This is a 97 Accord, automatic with 4 cyc. Is this housing just a cover for the actual transmission? or is this a more serious problem

Can you post a picture of what the crack looks like by any chance? It is hard to tell without seeing it but I may be able to help you with that.
