From a dead stop my 09 Dodge ram hemi will go
into 4th gear I have to stop turn off truck and start
all over but problem is getting worse

Should stop at a trany shop for proper diagnosis. May be just a sticking solenoid, or Transmission Control Module, or a locked up torque converter. Like I said, stop at a trany shop. they would know.
