Just bought a 2009 Ram 1500. Every time I fuel up it spits back fuel.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Doesn"t seem to matter how fast or slow I fill it. Spits back quite a bit of fuel; more than 1/2 cup. It leaves a puddle on the ground and the side of the truck-and me if I stand nearby.

something is wrong with the venting. either something is stuck in the filler pipe, or there is a problem with the venting system for the fuel tank. take it to a shop.
