What is the part called?

Asked by skobbore Oct 13, 2015 at 04:31 PM about the 2009 MINI Cooper

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an oil leak at the passenger side of the engine under a plastic piece that looks like a access door (back behind the screw on top of the engine cover on the left side).  Under the door is a diaphragm, that was torn and the oil was leaking through it.  I have searched the internet, but I am not sure what the diaphragm is for.  Anybody know the part number and name?
