Question type: Maintenance & Repair

working on a 97 escort. compression on cyl 1 & 3 is 120 , 2 & 4 are 0 .
Would a belt affect only 2 cyl ?

I reset the timing belt & rechecked compression, got 90 for cyl 1&3 still 0 for cyl 2&4. don't see a valve job in my future,think i'll just call a time & put a toe tag on it.
