engine shut down

Asked by nickco911 Mar 29, 2013 at 10:15 AM about the 2009 Chevrolet Suburban

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Engine runs good, fuel pressure is good, fuel quality is good. The Engine will shut down at 185F every time, only happens when engine is at idle. Does not show any warning lights before shut down and does not throw any codes to show that there is a problem. O2 sensor and mass air flow sensor are good. Throttle body plate is good. In shop at room temp.

And it keeps running if you are driving? That's strange. When it happens, give it a short squirt of starting fluid to see if it's ignition or fuel that it needs.
