Fuse for Tail lights on Escape Hybrid

Asked by Moonshae Mar 12, 2011 at 07:06 AM about the 2009 Ford Escape

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got pulled over the other evening because my tail lights were out, although my headlights were on. I'm sure it's a simple fuse issue, so I don't want to bother going to the dealer. I've misplaced my owner's manual, which I'm sure has a diagram. So, can anyone provide me with a fuse map or tell me specifically which fuse I need to check?

Thanks.

pull the fuse cover off, look inside it (cover)it has a lable for the fuses they are numbered and will tell you which is the tail light fuse.also in fuse box the fuses are numbered, easy to find the one you looking for.

this is not true for my 2008 ford escape hybrid. What is really maddening is the owners guide has a chart of the fuse panel with number and corresponding use of fuse. There is a fuse for everything ,BUT a tail light. the fuse cover has the numbers that correspond to the users guide chart but does not help unless there is a fuse designated as TAIL LIGHT. Now earlier in the users guide, there is an a graph for tail light bulbs , but nothing on the fuse.
