My seat drivers side seat is stuck. every time I click it to go forward it makes a noise. the seat is down all it goes

it makes a noise when I press the button so I can go up.it just makes the noise and doesn't even move.

I had the problem of seat moving only about an inch up and back. Found nothing wrong with anything. I sprayed lithium grease into the rails from both ends. Lo and behold, it worked after that like new!!!
