2005 Honda Pilot Brake Question

Asked by railboss Jan 26, 2013 at 05:21 PM about the 2005 Honda Pilot

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the front pads and bled the entire brake system but the car still feels like it has a soft pedal.  Can you
suggest what it might be?

if you're 100% sure that theres no air in lines, abs controller, calipers, cylinders for rear drums, if applies, and master cylinder, and if you have rear drums, and your rear shoes are okay, try backing to about 4 mph, stomp on brakes, repeat several times,to adjust rear shoes out. if the emergency brake is applied, while lifted, and rear wheels turn, get new star adjusters, other than that...

They Are Disc Brakes. Not Drum Brakes. The Pilot we are trying to fix, has to be driven as much as 130 miles on the highway before unintended braking @ 70 miles per hour. Don Perdue 913-677-0578
