what does it mean if the check engine light

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It could be a number of problems ranging from the not so serious to very serious. It could be something as simple as the gas cap wasn't tightened enough to a serious engine/transmission problem. I recommend taking it to a mechanic just go get it checked out.
