Ford Explorer warning lights

I have this warning light on my UK spec 4wd (hi and lo
range version) 1998 Ford Explorer SOHC 4.0 V6
(mouthful huh?) And I can't find it in the owners
handbook.. Or the Haynes manual!

Haven't see that one before, but that year explorer had auto high and lo. Something may be malfunctioning in that area. Try turning auto off and on to see if something changes.

My explorer is exactly the same I'm still trying to find what it means if you know please let me know
