steering pump was bad on my 1999 gmc truck so i ordered a new one and it doesnt have a hook up for the wires. can i still use this pump and not use the wires? will i have power steering?

Are the wires for a fluid level sensor? If your truck has a warning for low fluid level and the new pump does not have a connection then the warning light will be on all the time.
