Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi guys
I have a 2000 gmc safari that won't accelerate
past 20mph and when you accelerate it shuts off. I
have change the fuel pump,  fuel tank sensor,
camshaft sensor, throttle position sensor,
manifold pressure sensor,  and rotor and cap. But
still having the same problem.  It starts fine and
idles fine it's just the acceleration when you press
the gas pedal  it just won't accelerate and shuts off

you could have bought a code reader and fuel pressure gauge for the money you spent , scan for codes and get the definitions , have someone rev. the engine and see if a healthy blast of exhaust comes out the tail pipe , the catalytic may be clogged.

have the spark plugs and wires ever been looked at? and these old vans had a special control unit in the ignition system that would blow out at the coil and cause running issue. i would recomend a scan first tho..
