grab a mechanics prybar or giant screwdriver and try to separate the transmission and engine mounts....betcha you need a transmission mount and/or engine mount too...this changes the geometry and can disable your shift linkage~

Seven Dollars and twenty five cents for your tranny mount~ http://www.autopartsnetwork.com/pontiac-phoenix-em-2466-front-auto- trans-mount-westar/avaCrzmzyGWZe0vuhDe4r-? utm_source=google&utm_medium=gps&utm_term=Pontiac+Phoenix+Au to+Trans+Mount+Westar+EM- 2466+Front&utm_campaign=google_base&fpi=YwyxTtIK3UKBhNx744W fdne5mU0qqBnxJDWBs7xO5Z0=&gclid=CNiRve6B_rcCFYhAMgodnR0A 5w
