Sounds like a problem in the alternator wiring. Check the alternator wiring for some small wires that connect to it with a terminal or connector. Could also be loose battery cables. I am leaning more towards loose battery cables, but then again that wouldn't cause your radio to turn off. Your battery limits the jolts from the alternator but would still run and function for the most part normally with out the battery after started. Almost sounds like a fuse panel wiring problem but that wouldn't cause your battery not to be charged by the alternator only a loose sensing/charging (small) wire on the alternator would. Sounds like a complex problem you got there, might be best if you a pro check it for you. How do you know the car isn't charging by the volt meter in the dash or a volt meter on the battery terminals?
