Are Chrysler 318s compatible between years and models

I have a 1991 Dodge D150 with a 5.2 V8 and a three speed automatic(A998)
transmission. The block cracked while towing a trailer. It have good heads, a
good intake manifold and the oil pan. Would any LA 318 swap into the truck
without too much modification? What would I have to do to get a 318 from a
different year or model to fit? I'm looking for a replacement motor, but don't
know which ones are compatible.

I doubt all 318 blocks are the same. Best to stick with a year near yours.
