My Car shuts off after a certain period of driving. When the car stops i can't put any gas to it I have to stomp the pedal a few times for it to accelerate.

Asked by Steven May 25, 2015 at 10:45 AM about the 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had the egr valve replaced and the hose
cleaned, but its still shutting off.  Now there
is a burning smell coming from the car and
it jerks a few times before it stops running.
I'm not sure if its the transmission or the
fuel injection system or even a totally
different issue. Any advice or help would be
greatly appreciated.
