That is something to do with a towing-kit bracket. I looked everywhere I could think of. See this site and scroll down to page 6 and 7, look under 'Kit # on column on the right. http://roadmasterinc.com/bg_/bg_rmi_std.pdf

I don't even know for sure that chart is what the numbers 284-1 & 2 mean. Just the only thing that appeared. Now there is another site, where you can ask. May be a fee. Probably. I have an 05 Dakota Quad Cab SLT with 3.7L (V6) and it has a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. When I start excellerating from a stop, the truck RPM shifts smoothly through first two gears then it quickly shifts through third to fourth gear which causes truck to bog down.
