When you open the door, it will stop at about 90 degrees. This is due to a clip on the end of a rod. The rod is a bit like the gizmo that keeps a screen door on your house from opening too far. The rod runs from the hinge through a hole into the door. At the end of the rod is a cotter-pin sort of clip. If you grab that baby with a pliers and pull it out, the rod no longer keeps the door from opening all the way.
