Your best bet is probably to watch the classifieds for a cheap or "part out" truck.... buy the whole thing and scrap what you don't want, you might even make money. All the 6.5" beds from a 97-04 dakotas are the same

ok thanks for youre help i bought another dakota for a hundred bucks but it turned out to be a long bed if worse comes to worse i might shorten the bed a foot
