Electrical gone crazy

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2000 Durango is having multiple problems and I'm trying to find out if it's an easy fix
or time to put it out to pasture. It runs fine, but when you turn on the heater it will
sporadically blow out air. It's warm when it does actually blow air, but if I go over even the
slightest bump in the road it will turn on/off.
The other problem is with my lights. The exterior ones function properly, but the interior
ones (mainly the dash panel) will also turn on & off randomly. When I turn the light switch
all the way to the off position is when all of the interior lights turn on. They only turn off
when I click the lock button.
Any ideas as to what this could be? Thanks!

Start by having your battery load tested and check if your alternator is giving over 14 volts. Clean the battery connector and every ground connection you can find with a wire brush and reconnect. About the blower motor your resistor can be going out and also the connector to the resistor, you can get a pig tail, to change out just the connector, on ebay. The resistor is located on the passenger side under the dash next to the blower motor.
