I just replaced my 2007 BMW 5 series xi with a non BMW battery. Does this make a big difference?

it will work if the size matches what was in it however you need to get someone with a scan tool to reset the engine computer so thst the intelligent charging knows you have a new battery. otherwise you wil kill it far quicker and have possible issues with bus systems due to inconsistant power supply.
