Can I connect any 2.3 or 4.3 liter engine to a chevy vega? I dont know much about cars and ive been given my fathers old car.

Its a 1974 chevy vega it runs with the
engine it currently has but its tired as my
dad says. And its in need of a
replacement.

Vega's have lot of room in the engine compartment. People used to install small block Chevy engines in them so another 4 or a 6 should be possible with enough work.
