Thermostat rationality test

Asked by Goodone1980 Nov 28, 2018 at 11:36 PM about the 2002 Dodge Neon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I got a thermostat rationality test
code and I need to know how severe
it is if I continue driving like this or
more like is there a time frame.
I TOTALLY PLAN on getting my car in
its just I can't even afford a pack of
gum right now and this is my only
means of getting to work and taking
care of my kids. Right now I only drive
it when absolutely necessary.

I would just make sure your oil and water levels are up to proper levels and the car is not having any overheating issues. Could actually be the thermostat not opening right away or simply a wonky temp sensor. Good Luck!
