Does anyone know of a recall on the 2003 Dakota concerning the ball joints for the 2 wheel drive and also a/c leaking in the passenger floor board.

yes there is a recall concerning the ball joints. If you scroll to the bottom of the following page and click on "2003 Dodge Dakota recall information" it will show you a list of the recalls on that vehicle.
