83 c20 2wd cross member 700r

Question type: Car Customization

6.2 diesel to carb 355, truck had 700r with diesel.
My question is why is my cross member to far
back to bolt up? Is it because the SBC is a shorter
block? What should I do? I can move forward on
passenger side. But driver has body mount in the
way. I'm at a stand still with project any help would
be appreciated

Are there any offset motor mounts out there for such a swap?
