1966 3000 clutch slipping
I have a 1966 Austin Healey 3000 which had a new clutch installed 10k ago. The car has been sitting for a while. We have new brake system, fluids etc. The clutch started slipping. What should I do? Thanks!
Check for adjustments to ensure the clutch pressure plate is fully engaged. There should be a slight amount of play in the clutch pedal.

Remaining minor work: • Installing glove box lock. • Paint the steering column.
If I had some pocket change, I'd buy it...
They are going for at least 2x that but I want to get a RV I have seen.
Do you think your compromising on price to much? After all there will always be a nice RV out there to find, but this is a 1966!

I've seen 3000 go for much more but they look like they just left the showroom, 10k-17k miles, matching numbers, have original Dunlap tires, perfect spokes and flawless paint. Also, all papers, tool kit, etc are included with documentation. I have also seen many, not at auctions or shows, that sell in your 22,500-25,000 range. They look very good and drive good but by no means showroom. I think you are priced about right for what you have. You have replaced too much unless it is all with AH factory parts.
I used all parts from healey dealers. The car is original , n bondo, no rust, matching numbers. I suggest you look at Hemmings and on the web because 3000's go for a lot more than what you claim and very few are showroom condition. But thank you for your feedback. Do you own a 3000?
Not now... had a new 1954, 100-4 and a 67 MK-III in 1969. Hemming's listings are always high. Where you live makes a difference on prices too. I usually buy my sport cars in Miami and trucks in Arkansas. Cheaper than anywhere else on a regular basis. Best place to buy original parts is Moss Motors, (800.667.7872). They have been in business since 1947 or 48!
I buy my parts from Healey Surgeons, Moss Motors and British Victoria or Victoria British all healey factory parts. I agree with where you buy your vehicles. 3 healeys, 1 tr6 and 1 356 Porsche.
