I start my car and try to reverse i t rolls
backwards slowly but you can hear me
stepping on the gas. Then eventually it
catches up then the same thing driving
... What does this mean?

Check the transmission fluid level. Also look at and smell the fluid, it should be pinkish red and clear. If it smells burnt and looks brown, that usually means trouble.
