how do you adjust the shifting linkage or clear computer

auto trans was slipping at 70k miles. replaced, was good about a week and check engine light came on and it started slipping again. took off battery cables so comp would reset and light was off and ran like a champ. eng light came back on and started slipping again. someone said i need to replace computer and someone told me to adjust my shifting linkage. anybody got any ideal

to clear the ecu, take the positive battery cable off for 5 minutes or so. I have to do this to pass inspection lol

no adj on shift linkage,no to changing the computer,sounds like you got a bum tranny.
