Ran out of antifreeze

I have a 2001 ford explorer i over heated
checked my antifreeze and it was empty.
Filled it up there no leak i see. But it runs
rough

Better check the oil to make sure that's not where the antifreeze went. If it's still disappearing, you'll have to remove the spark plugs and do a compression check. Chances are you blew a head gasket, lost your antifreeze, and that's why it got hot.
