How do i get hatch to lock back? It seems to be stuck open

I opened the back hatch to Ford explorer and now
it won't latch back to lock

Sounds like you may have tripped the latch when it was in the open position. Try inserting the key and pushing the locking piece of the latch with a screw driver or pry bar and see if it will move into the open position.
