79 cj5 i6 4.2 not getting fuel to the carb

My cj5 is getting fuel through all the lines but stops
at the carb and won't start if I prime it it starts for a
second but dies it has the inline 6 4.2

Check the carburetor filter and float device, it might be stuck in the up position not allowing fuel to go inside carburetor

If there is an inlet filter if may b e clogged. It is also possible that the needle is stuck.
