how often should the front wheel bearings be replaced

my car is making a noise in the front as if a wheel bearing is going out.  Increases when making a left turn

If your car is a 2000 model and you're just doing this now, I would say that you have nothing to complain about....Or does this happen often?

I agree with Tom, replace them when they go bad. I have 249,000 miles on my front wheel bearings.
