Where is the thermostat on a 2004 PT Cruiser?

My 04 Cruiser overheats a lot. I was told the thermostat was messed up and needed replaced. But with the way
then engine is set up its turned sideways and not on top were i thought it would be. I know it dose not cost muh to
buy a new one i just need to know how to get to it! Thanks

This site has a picture to show you the location. It looks like it's at the base of a "L" shaped pipe that holds the pressure cap. http://www.ptcruiserlinks.com/forum/tech-performance-forum/22540-01-pt- cruiser-location-thermostat.html
