We have had Our 2004 PT for over 3 years now and it works great for Us. No major problem, just maintenance like You would get with any vehicle. We have put 70000 kilometers on the car. I am a mechanic and do all the work to this car Myself,Just make sure if its an honest car and if that 80k is real. Your personal garage or mechanic could help You with this and its definatly worth it.

Well...I'm late on answering this question! LOL! Hope he DIDN'T but that '04 PT Cruiser! Do yourself a BIG favor and check out Consumer Reports on Used Vehicles...The '04 Pt Cruiser has ALL negative ratings across the board..Engine, Tranny, Electrical, Fuel System..you name it!

I guess I was luck when I bought my new 2004 PT Cruiser almost 10 years ago. I now have 73,000 miles on it and haven't any problems with it. The only I put into the car was brand new tires.
