Water in diesel filter

Asked by F_Magnusson Dec 30, 2022 at 05:47 AM about the 2002 Ford Ranger

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The indication light on the dashboard for water in the diesel filter lit up a couple
of days ago so we went ahead and emptied the entire filter and bleed it
afterwards to get rid of air. The light is still on tho, even tried to disconnect the
sensor so that it would reset the light, still won't turn off. Is there something I
am missing?

Sounds like the sensor went bad or you have a cross connect in the sensor wiring.
