There is a 15MM offset difference and I was told by a wheel store owner they sit in too far for the 2005. Does it look bad? Will the 15mm rub?

you could compensate with wheel spacers, but that will wear out wheel bearings & etc. faster
You do not need wheel spacers. The offset is a little different but they will work just fine. And they are not going to wear out wheel bearings
