2002 Ford Explorer - REAR signals/flashers not working

Asked by Brooke Jul 04, 2019 at 06:43 PM about the 2002 Ford Explorer

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Both REAR signals are not working and the
front are still fully functional - in hyper speed
mode of course. I have replaced the bulbs
and fuses. Still same issue.

Is it possibly the relay or some other issue
since the front flashers are still working?

There is a relay underneath driver's dash left footwell in SJB (smart junction box) You will need a mirror to see behind the fuse panel where the relay hides. Good Luck!

Rapid flashing turn signal indicators on the dash means the vehicle senses a bulb is burned out. If none are, there is a change in the resistance on the circuit. When a change is detected, the indicator lights flash faster. You may have a faulty resistor.
