how reliable is the 2000-2003 7.3 diesel in the ford excursions, will they go 500k

looking at ford excursions. interested in early 7.3 diesel. are they 500k motors

The 7.3 is probably the best of all the pick up diesels. They will go 500,000 miles with proper servicing and a few repairs along the way.

BY FAR one of the most reliable engines ever made. I would drive a 7.3 Excursion right now if I could find one that wasn't priced 10k out of market value...lol.
