grade oil for McPherson struts-Datsun 510, amount+++anybody??

Found out - hydraulic oil, approximately 12.5 oz. clean with solvent-no cloth or paper-check valve at bottom needs to be cleaned also-the top seal may leak a little-don't know where to purchase any- need to work piston up and down to remove air before tightening top not-
