Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 03 bird will not start when the outdoor temp is 32 or below. However when the temp
reaches 40 degrees it will pop right off. Any ideas out there as to what might be causing
this?

Bad Engine Coolant Temp sensor or bad Intake Air Temp sensor or dirty Mass Air Flow sensor. If your check engine light is on, I would have the codes read to see if you can narrow it down. These 3 sensors all have an effect on your fuel/air mixtures. Any one of them can cause a no start issue. Post back with results.......

My son ran a code that responded with about 7 codes which all cleared except P1000 which if I'm reading correctly is a code that will probably clear if the car is run for a while. I guess we will start with the one by one elimination process including a new battery unless you might have some other thoughts.
