Stalling out

I have a 2003 Ford Taurus every once in awhile
when I press on the gas pedal it chokes or stalls
out however the battery light also comes on it will
crank consistently and Idol however when gas is
applied it chokes out or Stars I have been told that
it is a wire to the battery also it could be the
alternator however I seem to think because of how
it's doing it could be an error or fuel sensor or fuel
filter can someone please help

had same problem at traffic lights, changed this piece after some research on you tube and it worked..
