Lost ignition keys

Asked by Anxiousford Oct 25, 2018 at 01:16 AM about the 2003 Ford Focus

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2003 ford focus was stolen
and is at the impound lot and i
don't have an ignition key.
Dealership says they can only go
back 8 years by the VIN# to make
a new chip key. What can i do?
What are the costs?

I would try another dealer. My Ford dealer said no problem to make a key for my 2003 Expedition.

I have and the lock smith is the way to go, I was going to try to change the ignition switch in a newer chevy the amount of screwing around in the middle of a parking lot with every tool but not the one you need anyway a lock smith gets done quickly and for less than you think
