Idling high after pull off...Gear changing problems

Asked by Kaizenbodyclinic Aug 21, 2023 at 03:12 AM about the 2004 Opel Corsa

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi All. I have a Opel Corsa Lite 1.4i 2004, TWO problems:
1. For about the last two to three weeks we have the idling/revs going up
quiet high after pull off from first to second? I replaced the throttle body which
came with the new TPS and Idling sensor? Still doing this? When we work
the Fuel cable a bit it stays low for a day or day and half about? is it the cold
start sensor sticking? or maybe Fuel cable needs replacing?
2. Changing gears has been a problem for a while getting 2nd or 4th. Now
starting to have problems selecting 1st. Maybe get a gear link repair kit?
I cant be without transport...my livelihood depends on it!

Your livelihood depends on a twenty year old Opel? If so, really, you need a newer car... NOW. Sell this as a mechanic's special... As Is.
