Unplugging the auto 4 wheel

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Unplugging the wires for the transfer case so it's in 2wheel
and not 4×4auto to save gas is that gonna mess anything
up?

If you run it in 4WD auto it stays in 2WD until the computer senses tire slip. You won't save any gas by disabling the transfer case. Why not just run it in 2WD? The selector switch should have that option.
